Recommended Frying Method
Recommended instructions for frying fish
We have carefully crafted Scooter’s Golden Fry premium mixture to be used as the instructions describe below. It is highly recommended that you follow these instructions to obtain the light, crispy, unforgettable taste you are looking for!
1. Rinse fish and cut fish into approximately 2 inch nugget-sized pieces.
2. Soak fish in a light beer for around 15 minutes. Best to not soak fish over two hours. Do NOT pour beer into the dry mixture as this will prevent you creating the light, crispy, unforgettable taste you are looking for.
3. Remove fish from beer and gently squeeze or shake off excess moisture.
4. Place dry coating mixture into a fish batter shaker or large ziploc bag.
5. Place fish directly into the dry coating mixture and shake or pat to ensure a light, even coating.
4. Deep-fry in oil heated to approximatley 350 Degrees F until fish floats to the surface and reaches an internal temperature of 145 Degrees F (63 Degrees C). It will take approximately 3 to 5 minutes for the fish to cook, float, and reach the appropriate internal temperature.
5. Remove from oil and place in container lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.
6. Serve and Enjoy!
